baby season

so, here are the first two that started the craze!! milla and leo. milla is the first daughter for my best friend from high school, phil , and his wife jenni. she looks so like phil. leo is the first son for my best friend from college, rachel, and her husband chris. i'm leo's godmother, and i couldn't be more excited!!!!!! here's a short list of the others i know that are expecting: my fave shift leader from my first starbucks in tampa, angelique, is having a girl in october. my cousin kayla is expecting a girl as well, to be named molly ((good golly!!)) in january. and my fave ex-boyfriend kevin carr is expecting someone in thegreatest month of them all, april. i am hoping it is a girl too, b/c aries women are the most fantastic. (hint, hint.) oi. now do you see what i mean?? baby fever is un-avoidable at this point, but for now, i've got my two babies: sally and sunshine. they are cats. at the top of this post l-r is me and sushine squaredance biscuits and to the right is ms. serious sally micro-cat as a pirate. yes, i know i am weird, by the way. i am one of those freaky people who treats their pets like people...

sally is a pirate. arrrrrrgggg, matey!!

this is my cat, sally. her birthday is in september, so that makes her a libra. she'll be one this year. she was the kitten that i got for christmas from neil...and now she is not the baby anymore since we got sunny...but she has adjusted well, can't you tell??? my friend mike made this for me on photo shop because when sunshine went to get her first round of kitten shots, she caught ringworm from her brother. she then brought the ringworm home and gave it to sally AND me!! what luck!! so, sally was only using one eye for about 2 weeks because she had the fungus right above her eye. i was calling her "one eyed willy" to help her have a good sense of humor about the situation we were both in......if you don't know, in the 80's there was this really great movie made called "the goonies" and the pirate in it is called one eyed willy. thus, sally sports this pirate garb. she's so stylish.....she gets that from her mother!!
